Radiator differences?

I have a 1931 Ford pickup that I put together last year and am using a 66 ford mustang radiator. I have a proper radiator but when it is installed the hood lacks one inch of fitting as it should. There is not any room to move the radiator back or the cab forward. My question is is there differences between a A and an AA radiator? My engine is a 1929 AA.

Thanks

The AA radiator is thicker than an A . Do you have and A or AA radiator shell?
AA and A hood, cab and sheet metal are the same.

I would then assume I have a A radiator shell. Because the radiator seems to fill it right to the edges. The radiator fits in place but when all sheet metal is installed the hood is one inch or so to short in length. Will a AA shell bolt in for me or is there other differences? I will look at things later this evening.

Thanks

An A shell will not fit a AA radiator but a AA shell will fit an A radiator, there
will just be about 1/2" gap between the front of the A radiator and the AA shell.

Sure enough, I compared two radiators and what I have is 1/2" thicker . So now I just have to find an AA shell. Maybe at Hershey this fall.

Thanks
Walter
