Keep looking ,i find 1 once in a while.Found 2 of them a couple of yrs ago at a Nat Ford meet. Sold them last yr on here. There hard to find and pricey. ken ct.

Brendon, I have an extra 35-36 cap but it does not have the wire bail on it. I don't know if all of them had the bail or not, the one on my 35 does not, its been on the car for over 6o years but could be a replacment cap, I suppose. keiththog@columbus.rr.com

I have several of these nos Ford with the red latex gasket (which should be replaced as they invariably decompose). I post here in answer because others may want one, too. I have 10 or so. $40 each. To be sure, these are squarish in shape with four ears and have a 78 part number. I believe these appropriate for V8s between the end of exposed radiators to the onset of pressure caps.

Brendan, see the ad for these caps in the swap section under wanted early V8 by perrysmith. These are caps with the bail which ARE CORRECT for '35-'36 depending on which rivet material they may have, based on the discription in the ad. Also, here is the info on these caps:

Found this info on these caps in the EFV8C/A 1935-36 Ford Book on pg. 108.

"The radiator cap for the '35-'36 radiator was a bail type cadmium plated steel cap. This cap had a steel rivet in the center. In approximately April/May of '36, this steel rivet, which connected the steel cap and locking cup was changed to brass to reduce corrosion. The cap remained unchanged throughout the '36 model year"
