Radiator baffle plate?

Rubber hose attached to the inner overflow pipe. Lead the hose "up" to directly just under the radiator cap. Gives it some "separation room" so the water can fall down on the upper tube sheet.

I realize this is an old thread, but I have one radiator that has no baffle. The upper neck is extended down below the level of the inlet. I can see the cores. It works so well, I wish all my cars had it.

I had the same problem..coolant spewing out under load even WITH the baffle in place. Same attempts to solve it...O-rings...over-tightening the quail cap...messing with the overflow pipe and hose...etc. I slowly learned that I was trying to keep too much coolant in the radiator. It cools just as well with a little less coolant...does not need to be topped up. I ordered the sight tube from Snyder's and monitor it...and have not had the problem since. I marked the new max level on the tube. Cheap and fixed the problem. Initially I was worried that it might not cool well enough but even on long drives in summer heat in the 90F range I could easily touch the head when I stopped...and it was not 'cooking' the coolant.

I had the issue with coolant spewing out under load and it was a blown head gasket. The problem was created by me when I replaced the water pump and water neck gasket failing to torque the water neck/head bolts. The first time the car was driven the head gasket let loose, water spewed and it took a lot of head scratching to figure out what the problem was.
