Questus, I too use a VW as my daily 'driver'. Mine is a '69 VW 'Bug', which I bought new in 1969. I have driven it constantly since it was new, 48 years ago. Over here they were informally called either 'Bug' or 'Beetle'. As my 1969 VW is painted Konigsrot (Royal Red) and it resembles our red "Lady Bug", it is called a 'Bug'.
However - the way we wash our cars in the U.S., is different than how you wash your cars in Germany. I guess we have fewer elephants.
As I drive my vintage air-cooled VW daily, I know how much joy your VW gives you. And too, as I drive my Model A frequently, I know too, just how much you will enjoy your new adventure driving and playing with your new Ford Model A.
