I am thinking as i read sellers ,selling rebuilt Zenith Carb's that are {tested}? That means that the crap gas of today that gumming up the carb when not in use for awhile is used to test the carb's and are sitting for how long before they are sold and then when bought when they will be installed? Time will pass and if some of the crap gas was left inside what does that mean:confused: a gummed up carb:eek:??? thanks..

A professional rebuilder uses a test bench and I beleive gas is not used, but a solution with the same specific gravity is.

My little garage rebuilds carburetors, and I test each one on my personal roadster truck. The carburetor is driven 40-50 miles, and idle and performance are tested. The carb. is then removed, and the gas is drained and air dried. We never leave any gas inside the unit.
