Question for 180-A 2 Dr Deluxe Phaeton Owners

Are the front seats the same width or is one wider than the other? I would like a width measurement at the hinge of both seats.

Do both seats have the three hole adjuster or just the driver's seat?

I am installing all new wood and need to know what type of finish to use. Does anyone know? I know it should be a dull black, but was it originally paint or some type of wood sealer?

My car is a March of 1931 build.

I do know drivers seat is wider than passengers. same as 400A, & pos Vicky. Think later has ratchet ajuster like some slant screen sedans but stand to be corrected. some one with more knowledge will reply.
 
Waspaugh, I'll be hanging lights in the garage where my unrestored 180A is on Sunday and, if I can get to them, will take the measurements you need and look at the adjusters. Sorry I can't help you with the finish; if doctor Mendola sees this, he will probably know the answers to your questions. Joe
 
First question, from hinge [rivet holes] left to right 16".... , Only the 180A are the same for both front seats. The """400A"""and 190A drivers side are 17" inches and pass. seat are 16"inches . Third question , 3 holes for both seats.And last question , i used MINWAX wood finish [Jacobean 2750 ]for ALL my wood [floor boards too] Penetrates ,Stains AND Seals... If you need seat adjusters which are hard to find [A+L Parts made a nice copy] Not all correct but if you don't have them these are the best around[ the only ones around] l.o.l. ...good luck....:D
