The "Ford" Brakes are adequate for their original application.
BUT
The Self Energizing Bendex brakes Henry used on the Lincolns are MUCH BETTER!!!!
Henry would not have paid the royalty fees for the Bendex Brakes if there was not a good reason. Also in the "Old Days", Hot Rodders would "UP GRADE" their brakes to Lincoln for better performance.
Bendex Brakes will give you the same stopping power with a lot less pedal force.
I have driven these old cars with both Ford Brakes and Lincoln Brakes and the difference is like Night and Day.
You can have the best set of Ford Brakes and they will not perform as well as the Bendex Brakes used on the Lincolns.
I AM NOT SAYING you CAN NOT satisfactorally operate an old Ford with Ford fixed anchor brakes,
I AM SAYING the same Old Ford will have better all around Braking Performance with Lincoln (Bendex) self energizing brakes.
