Quarter window hardware

I removed the handles for plating and then found the slot at the threaded end. What is it for? Does it have a relationship to the location positioning of the handles?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I don't have much more hair to pull out. LOL

It sure does Mike.

Got a pair laying around? LOL

I can see how that may work. Maybe I can make one up somehow as I doubt anyone sells them. Do you maybe have pics of yours?

Thank you

two days too late i just put the rear panel on the nut goes on the shaft then the lock for the nut i put the spring in the window track there should be a opening where the spring should go then put the shaft down through the hole and though the spring then on the shaft the other lock for the nut on the lower part on the shaft on the bottom side of the window track you have to adjust the nuts up or down to get the handle to lock in to one of the notches to hold up the window . there sould be a little tension on the handle to spring it back to the notch i hope this helps mike

I got the parts from Lang's as you suggested. Lang's does not have the anti-rattle rubber piece that goes on the rod. Did you have them for your car? Is it something that I could make or even need in your opinion?

Thanks again,
