Hello Everyone, Columbus Snake, Welcome to the FordBarn Forums.

Dude, I’m sorry but I have to sorta go off on you.
Umm... That's an interesting first post you got there isn't it?
Could I be granted a question? Are the shocks holding you back from using your car? If they are, then I can understand your posting, and that you are more than ready to get them back.
But, if as you said, it's not worth it, how about asking to get your parts returned and having them remanufactured more rapidly because “40 Ford shocks are hard to come by”? Okay, maybe that’s question #2, my bad.
I agree Bill Wzorek has a reputation.
I don’t know this because I’ve only been in this part of the hobby for about six years, but wouldn’t doubt that he’s been doing shock work for thirty years, or maybe a lot more, I don’t know that fact.
Because of this reputation I also wouldn’t doubt that he has a huge pile of work waiting to be completed, maybe as much as a one year backlog. Again, I don’t know this.
But, he IS the go-to guy for this type of work. You sent your parts his way because of it.
I've met him once, several months after he did some work for my dearly departed Dad and me.
So I'm lucky enough to have had his pieces under our car for about four years, and try to say as many good things as I can about the change in ride from what it was with the junk we sent him. We sent two rear shocks for a ’36. He found us two fronts to replace the tube shocks that a previous owner had installed and sent us back four exceptionally performing original shock absorbers.
Putting it another way, he hooked us up!
Bill's been working through a pretty long list of chores lately; One that I would not want to have to tackle, for sure.
He’s not been bashful about sharing information these last few months. I think his thread was part of that honest communication.
Here’s a fact I do know: He’s had to change the way he'd previously been handling the shock rebuilding section of his life. For that I cut him a pretty big hunk of slack. But that's just my opinion.
One last thing is that Mr. Wzorek is a huge supporter of these forums and FordBarn in general. He’s put in many hours of work and no small amount of coinage come up with some unique and creative ideas to produce the ‘Barn’er Of The Year’ award that he’s handed out for about the last five years or so, as I know it. The ones I’ve seen are some seriously fine one-of-a-kind treasures for the people who are avid supporters of this website. Not the normal car show plaques by a long shot.
That’s what I have to say and I’ll get off my soapbox now.
