Comparing two original Stanco quails 1929 & 1931

I know the bases are different but....

:confused: was the bird & upper cap identical for all years?
 
I am not sure but the base as you said are different and i would say so is the top piece and bird. Never had a 28/29 quail to compare to my 30/31's.
 
Hi Peter...There's some very good pictures of the 28-29 Stanco on Vince's website.
(if you ever get a spare minute to compare it to yours?)

I found the identical 28-29 unit, except mine's broken at the hinge & missing the base.
I'd like to find an original 31 base and repair it for my 31 coupe....except it has to look authentic when the dust settles. Thanks.

.....not the reply I was hoping for. Looks like a have a broken & homeless 29 quail to trade for someone's 31 unit?
