PVC valve

I am putting a 312 ci. Y Block into my 1950 ford coupe.
I have blocked off the front lower breather tube due to cross member clearance.
and would like to use a pvc valve from the rear of the valley cover.
The issue is I am also using a 3 carb manifold. There isn't a plug in the manifold at the base of the center carb big enough for the pvc hose nipple.
Can I enlarge the vaccum hole to accept a hose. at this point,
Then what do I do for the distributor vaccum. My plan is to change to a 1958 or later type distributor.

Any intake can be drilled and tapped as long as its off the engine and cleaned well before re-installing it. For PCV vacuum, try to pick a spot where the whole engine is providing the vacuum. Ford sold some early engines with only one cylinder providing vacuum for the power brakes. They usually burned the exhaust valve on that cylinder.
 
What intake manifold are you using? I'm running an Edlebrock 553 and used the threaded hole between the front two carbs for PCV vacuum. For dist. advance I modified a 2100 Holley base to run ported vacuum to the dist.

I can see the use of the hole in the manifold between no 1 and no 2 carb
for the pvc.
Do you have a picture of the vac. line you drilled in the carb base.

Your engine is very sanitary. Looks good.
The spacers will work fine
 
Don, perhaps you can help me on this problem .
I am using an Edelbrock 553 manifold with 3 Holley 94's.
I purchased used on the Ford Barn .
The 2 secondary carbs are ECG 6 and what looks like 315 A
with 1 1/16 venturis. Ford stamp on the bowl
The center primary carb is
ECW F 1 1/16 venturis
All three carbs have the same bases ECG 315 A
Should all carbs be the same.

Also on the two secondary carbs there is a hole in the casing at the top corner where the accelerator pump is
On the primary carb the hole has a lead plug ? in it. I assume that the secondary carbs with the hole and no plug should have plugs.
and if so where can I get these. My intent is to rebuild all three carbs any way.
