Will a ‘40-‘41 pu front end sheet metal fit on a ‘42 /‘46 pu?

Short answer is while the 1940-41 hood and front fenders will fit the 1942-47 cab, they DO NOT FIT the frame, wheelbase, wheel location, track width, or running boards. A HUGE can of worms. The only reasonable way to attempt this is with a 1940-41 frame, running boards, rear fenders and box.

With experience working on the '42-'47 jailbars I agree wholeheartedly with Karl. Wheelbase went from 112" to 114", track width increased at the same time by 2 1/2". I stabbed at it once and failed, and I hate it when I fail!
