The latest issue of the Hagerty Drivers Club magazine (Spring 2026) has an interesting article about an adventure across the Canadian Rockies in a 1928 Tudor. The article is written my Dave Hord with photos by Andrew Holiday and Andrew Snucins.

Dave drove the car from Calgary to Vancouver, 727 miles, over 4 days after spending a couple days getting the car ready after years in storage. He bought new tires but drove the trip on the ones that were on the car. He bought the car sight-unseen.

The article details the trip but also the mechanical and electrical problems with the untested car. Dave got help from the Model A people in Calgary.

The trip went through Glacier National park with one pass at 5,510 feet.

The article is interesting from the viewpoint of taking an untested car out of storage and making a long arduous trip. Something I would not do.

If you don't have Hagerty insurance and don't get the magazine and want to read the article, you could try emailing the editor at editor@hagerty.com
