Proper sized 12 volt battery

What is the proper size of 12 volt battery to fit in the battery space on a 1924 touring. Either the Battery Group designation or the actual dimensions are needed for a replacement.
 
Would that be a Group 1 12 volt battery then?

I have been using an undersized 12 volt battery for the past 4 years with no issues.
 
Approx 9 long, 6 3/4 wide 7 3/4 wide
Even at that size you still need to add about 3/4 to 1 inch filler at bottom of box so the clamps hold the battery down.
 
Sorry didn't see that, 7 3/4. Just tell them you need a group 1 sized battery. You could also go out a measure your box. You are asking about the normal behind the rear seat, mounted in the frame battery holder? Make sure you get top terminal type also the terminals are on the top sides that match the length of your cables and placement if you have a enclosed battery box.
