Problems with 1949 Floor Mats

I was about to order a 1949 Ford rubber floor mat from Mac's, but there is a problem with the mold that they do not describe. Does anyone know what the issue is?

Here's their disclaimer:

Our rubber floor mats are made using original molds. Over time, these original molds have developed small flaws that cannot be fixed, unless an entire new production mold is made. The sole manufacturer of these rubber mats is unwilling to do that. We are advising you of this, but will accept back for refund any mat. However, we will not have anything different to offer at this time. We appreciate your understanding and advise you that all other firms offering floor mats are also encountering this situation.

I have one of the mats from Mac's. The mold apparently has numerous small surface cracks which show up as small lines covering nearly all of the surface of the mat. Doesn't hurt the function, just the way it looks. Probably not what you would want for a show car, but better than no mat in my pickup, and it comes with the heavy backing pad.

I bought one from Mac's for my 48 F1. Yes, there are flaws in the look when you see it close up, but I'm sitting in the seat and from there it looks great. Don't buy it if you have a show car like D. Jones says. My mat came with no backing, and I think there is only one company making these from the original mold.
