Problem with Mac's

I have to confess my stupidity! If you read this forum everyday you should learn from the experiences of others. Not me! Despite reading of the many problems with this particular vendor, I went ahead and ordered anyway. Mac's sells through eBay as well as direct, and I like the convenience of PayPal. So, I placed a relatively large order, almost $400. Three items. A big box arrived, containing only one item. "Tracking" shows all three delivered, because Mac's put all three under the same tracking number, so Fed Ex showed all three "delivered". I called Mac's customer service; they won't help - at all - because it's through eBay. Given an eBay customer service phone number, I called, and an automated service there opened an inquiry. Will let you know if/when this might be resolved, but be aware if you succumb to the temptation of ordering through eBay from these folks, you have, at a minimum, multiplied your difficulties.

Only time I use MAC's is if they are the only ones to carry the item I'm looking for.
And don't get me started on how MAC's messed up looking for parts on E-bay, dozens and dozens of ads in a row, and everything over $12 shipping...kinda ruined it for me.

I wonder if Eklers knew about Macs reputation, and their ongoing death spiral, when they purchased the company? Seems like poor due diligence to me.

take photos of the box and items delivered the tracking and screenshots of the paid for orders. Talk directly to customer service. I have found ebay to hold up their end of the bargain in every case so far. good luck.

I don't now what number you tried but when you are logged in to eBay, when you request their C/S phone number, it will give you an access number good for 60 minutes where you can speak directly with a customer service agent. My experience is they sound much like Peggy on the phone however they can initiate the claim. Although there is one tracking number, I'd bet there are three bar codes associated with the tracking number, and if the driver only delivered one, then they likely only scanned one.

I am amazed anybody buys from Macs. I wanted a bumper sticker they had for $4, and the shipping was $11.95! For a bumper sticker!!! I did NOT buy it.

MAC's is now owned by a ECKLER's, company that sells parts for several brands of cars. Their employees are not Model A people but simply someone who picks a part out of a bin and ships it.

again, with Mac's...why bother with this vendor when there are so many other preferred vendors? Snyders, Brattons, Berts. these are the good guys that know Model A's, can honestly answer your questions and will deliver without drama or crazy shipping charges.

If you paid eBay, your contract is with eBay I would say.

If you don't have luck with eBay try PayPal for a refund.

All else fails get a refund from the credit card (if linked to PayPal).
