Pressurized radiator, good or bad?

If you drive your car at speeds like most Model A owners do, you will find a stock system will serve you well if properly maintained.

Like Jordan, I have a counterweighted engine. I don't know Jordan's driving habits but I often spin mine pretty fast. ................
During these trips, I often push the engine hard. .................
Good Day!

Yes, you do.
I left the gas station seconds after you this past Saturday, and even driving 60 MPH I soon lost sight of you. I had to get out my map to find my way back to camp.:D

My problem now is pushing water out when driving at 45 MPH or better. Just now starting to get the car out, a couple of ten mile trips have routinely required a half of gallon of water to top off after the trip. Today I am going to try not to add any water and see if the level is just "happy" at a half gallon low. I'm running with a small overflow reservoir and the extension hose on the inside of the radiator to raise the overflow tube as well as a 160 thermostat. No overheating issues so far just pushing water out. As stated earlier the timing is now correct and the carb is adjusted properly, the engine is running great and I can see north of 55 MPH if I want to.

You are running a reservoir and still having to refill? If it isn't sucking the water back in as it cools you have a leak somewhere, most likely the cap.

So maybe I'm overreacting, just finished a thirty mile trip (mostly at 50 MPH) and it took less than a water bottle to top it off. I think I'll just leave it alone and watch it.
