Prayer

Mike,

Jennifer will be in our thoughts and prayers until she makes a full recovery. God Bless her from NW Ohio.

Mike,
A few words of encouragement from Tennessee. My wife had cancer in 1995 and again in 1996. She is still with me and doing great, so there is great hope for successful treatment. I wish her a speedy recovery, and a looong and happy marriage. Prayers and thoughts are with you and Jennifer.

In 1976, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I was 28, married, but no children, and the hardest thing for me was telling my parents I had the cancer. I spent 3 months at Stanford Medical Center and went through 8 weeks of radiation treatments a major surgery, then more radiation, until I could take no more and put a stop to it. I had gone from 220# to 152#. Time passed and the check-up got farther apart and here I am, 35 years later. This diagnosis is a huge blow but it can be beat, even better today than 35 years ago.

Please tell your daughter to keep a positive outlook and plan on being a mentor and example to others when it is over. She will do well.

As for her parents, I know the effect it must have, but, you too, will survive and be stronger for it. The wedding can wait. That is only an unfortunate coincidence, but if he's a good man, he will be there for her.

I wish all of you great success and look forward to getting updates from you.

I do not wish to come off flippant about this; I know it is serious, but it is possible to survive and lead a happy and normal life, and it will happen. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Cancer sucks but is beatable. I have a couple friends that have done it at an early age.

All good thoughts to you and your family!

My prayers go out from Wisconsin for Jennifer and your family. May the Lord guide her thru these difficult times. Don/WI

Mike, what a terrible report. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers for your daughters recovery, a beautiful wedding, and long life.

On the up side you knew to ask your friends for the right kind of help and thanks to all for that help, keep us up to date when you can. Dale

Praying for you, your daughter and the whole family as everyone is involved. Believing for a wonderful wedding day for her, too.

I am not a praying person, but this changes my ways. I will be praying for Jennifer and her loving family, present and future.
