How is the rear cover removed and replaced?

Does the clip have to be prised out of holes top and bottom?

Is it easy to get back on?

Yes and yes, unless you are concerned about scratching the paint!

All but one original cover that I've seen has a notch in the edge that aligns with the bail wire hole, for correct alignment. If you have nice paint that you don't want to scratch while you R & R the cover I use a plastic credit card under the screwdriver blade and wire bail.
