power steering cylinder

I have recently replaced my leaky power steering cylinder with a brand new one ; the issue is that it has a significant amount of air bubbles in the reservoir as I work the steering wheel back and forth . I have a total of two hours so far attempting to work them out of the system . Is there an easier way to do this; possibly just top it off and drive it or do I need to have more patience and keep working the wheel?

Are you sure there are no air leaks on the return circuit?

Raise the front of the car (safely). Fill reservoir and with engine running, slowly turn the wheel side to side with cover off. Reach the stops but do not hold it there. If still aerated, let stand with engine off in that position for a while. Repeat procedure.

If not bled, there is a special service tool along with vacuum pump to draw air out.
