hiya fellas
This is driving me nuts. i need to put in power steering for my 54 ford crestline.
i'm finding kits that say fits all fords 48/54 on lots of online post etc, but when i check and put my car details in it always come back as it doesn't fit. would any one actually know what kit would fit and will need full kit not just the pump.
hope you guys can help.

Are you wanting some collection of aftermarket pieces or a stock, original equipment system?

You have three (four in reality) choices -

1) Find and install a complete original BENDIX LINKAGE PS SYSTEM,

2) Perform a BORGESON integral PS pump install,

3) Search for an electric motor upgrade (and this will require an ALT upgrade), or

4) RACK & PINION CONVERSION

It all depends on how you want to use the car.

One more time......EPS.
Some basic fabrication, dirt cheap and when they look under the hood no one will know you have power steering! Mine works flawlessly and I love it!
