posting pics/did search

Hello, been trying to post pics from photobucket and can get to the url, it flashes copied, but where do you go from there? I have pushed every button, pulled every knob, short of taking a hammer to the computer, help please.

get the direct link code from photobucket and copy // paste it in the yellow box with the mountain

As Mitch said click on the yellow box with the mountain and paste the link there...be sure to delete the http:// before pasting, the link you copy from PB will already have it.
 
I always post pix from my hard drive. I have heard, but since I don't use Photobucket, I can't confirm, that PB pix can be lost if they're removed from PB. So any future search that includes a PB photo may not have the original referenced picture.

yes thats right a photo posted from another server such as pb will disappear on ford barn if it is ever deleted from pb.
 
So how do I post photos off my hard drive? I need to introduce myself and would also like to share pics of my newly acquired '31 Tudor Sedan.

Just make sure the files are under 500k. Go to Advanced in your post page, and select Manage Attachments.
 
If you have windows and a large res pic, just open the pic and open snipping tool and lasso the pic and save it.

It can turn a 6 MB pic into 60 KB in a second.

Even fordbarn at 500 kb must be a nightmare for dial up users.
