Posting Photos viewable by non-members

Many times I view the forum without signing in unless I want to post something. Without signing in, many of the photos posted by members are not viewable. I think if we want to attract new members to the forum or to the hobby a few good photos are very effective in developing interest.

If you post photos from another site like Photobucket they may not show up to non-members. You can change this by editing your Profile preferences as follows:

Go to the black banner near the top of the page and click on "User CP"
Then go to:
*Edit Options
**Thread Display Options
***Visible Post Elements
****Show Signatures
****Show Avatars
****Show Images (including attached images and images in code)

Click on the box in front of "Show Images" and this will enable ALL images to be viewed by both logged-in members and non-members.

Maybe we can stimulate some new prospects.

Those options are for how you as the member want your viewing options to show, not how the rest of the world is going to view your stuff.

Guests to the site, or members not logged in, CAN view the photos that are here that are hosted on Photobucket or another photo hosting site. What they can't view is the ones that are attached or hosted from the Barn until they sign in. I do believe that is a good way to get folks to sign in or join. They can read the words and are tempted by the photos they know are there but can see.
