Pop-out ignition switch

Does anyone know of someone who repairs/restores original pop-out switches? It was working fine until we discovered a wire worn bare. A friend replaced the wire but couldn’t figure out how to get it back together! Thanks in advance for your assistance!

I have one I suspect the wire inside it was the wrong type. It looks great, and I have the key, but it shorted on my car. Maybe some day someone will buy it from me, or tell me they can fix it.
