poor milage and simple radiator cap

36 conv. flathead rebuilt getting only 7 miles to the gallon, all stock. Any ideas?

Also need a simple radiator cap that fits, any suggestions?? thanks

You should be getting twice that.

Does the car run well? Is it making black smoke when you hit the accelerator? Have you checked for fuel leaks at the tank and in the engine compartment? Have you checked to be sure the choke goes full open?
Try Bob Drake for a 36 radiator cap.

yeah, twice that and then some. If its not leaking anywhere, you have carb issues.

Stick a vacuum gauge o it . It’ll tell you alot . Are any of the wheel hubs/ drums hotter than the others ? Blocked exhaust ? What color are the plugs? Tha color will tell you if its a motor issue or not ( generally) .
