Comparing what the harley people do to what model A people do is comparing apples to oranges. Most harley people are not driving 80 year old machines, and even so many are trailered. If you trailer your A to meets, then it does not matter, but if you drive, then having the meet in a different place every time allows people in those areas to enjoy the meet without driving for days, and trying to pick slow roads. Although I belong to both national clubs, I have never been to a national meet, as the cost is higher than I feel I can pay, so I have not voted in the poll. I have been to many New England meets in the past 50 years, but even those are getting pricey, with $50 to register, meals costing $35-50 per person, and the hotel room fee. We all have our preferences and priorities, and for me, I just enjoy an evening drive in the A, with no particular place to go.
