Please excuse the ads and the censoring...

Hey guys, please excuse the ads. They should be gone by Monday.

Also, you will notice profanity is censored at the moment. This was not my call, but the FCC is essentially demanding it for pages that display ads. I am trying to find a work around for this.

Not sure that censorship in that regard is necessarily a bad thing. Most of us on this page can usually get our point across to everyone without the need for using profanity or lewd gesturing. ;)

I also want to be counted in the group that applauds you for providing us a place to hangout with friends and chat about Fords.

Thanks for your work on this forum Ryan. I'd rather have to take a couple of extra seconds to log in vs seeing all the ads, etc.

Passenger

Something has worked. I had to change this to occupants before.
Not my country, I'm just a passenger, but my reading is that the FCC doesn't like seven words only.

I also second Ryan's work on keeping this forum up and going. I work in the IT world so I completely understand the headaches and nightmares that he goes through. Kudos to you Ryan!

I agree 100%. We do not need any true profanity in this group.

But having the letters a s s in the word assembly get changed to ***embly was silly.

It looks like it is fixed now.

Hello I find the censorship somewhat amusing, ,the post on F150 , guess it doesn’t want to offend any cross dressing Model A owners, put on one dress and your branded for life!

Earlier, I railed against the actions of FCC. I don't withdraw from my position on that but I also think we owe a lot to Ryan for facilitating this forum.
Thanks, Ryan.

I own this forum. I am fine with profanity… but apparently, that’s not a choice I get to make anymore. Sorry fellas.

I absolutely agree 110%,

That is the reason I refuse to watch current movies anymore I get so sick and tired of the filthy language,,, it is a real bad example to be 'selling' to our youth in this country.

I'm no prude, I grew up in the Vietnam era and have been around it a lot and the military and all, but in my mind the combat Veterans earned that right to talk that way, if they choose:o

No 13 year old kid has earned that right.

That was my point in my earlier posts (which seem to have been deleted). @$$ is not a profanity here yet it seems the FCC has taken it upon themselves to censor what I see. They have NO juristiction here. Infuriating!
I understand your frustration, Ryan.

Who is going to save us from the FCC bots? I was censored for the word d o c u ment. When I looked, that word appears numerous times on the FCC’s website so obviously it is not a word worth censoring on their site. Go figure. I also applaud the job Ryan does with this forum. Great place for us to share knowledge and fellowship with the Model A.
