Re: 1933 Worthington Model B Tractor

We had something similar here in the UK, from a couple of manufacturers, Patterson and Allan Taylor. They normally had TT worm drive rear axles for low gearing, and a wooden box on the back. They were typically used for towing gang mowers on golf courses and other sports grounds.
My Roadster, Old Rusty started off life as a groundsman's tractor.

Re: 1933 Worthington Model B Tractor

I remember these when I was a kid. All of the golf courses had them and I drove one in the 40's at a golf driving range with a cage around it and a front mounted ball picker. That's what I learned to drive in. G.M.

Re: 1933 Worthington Model B Tractor

I had a lawson lawn tractor conversion of a model A, very similar but it had a truck worm drive rear axle with a chain to the transmission for even lower gearing. My young boys had a ball "driving" that thing in the back yard and got mad when I sold it. Will try to find a picture of it
