Place to carrry registration papers

I just lost all my registration papers and insurance papers by not being careful enough getting in and out of my roadster pickup. I don't have a pocket on the door or anywhere else to put my papers in. Just wondering where everyone else carries their papers.:o

Most of the venders sell a holder that has small springs that go around the steering column to hold the reg and insurance info. I have not tried them but they look like they should work.
Here is the one at Synders:

I use a magnetic pouch (motorcycle) stuck to the bottom of my gas tank above the steering column . cant see it .

I keep mine in the passenger door pocket. It's the only thing I put in the pockets so as not to stretch the pockets out of shape.

The roadster pickup should have a metal dispatch box in the right hand cowl upholstery. I think LeBaron Bonney sells them, lebaronbonney.com, 800 221-5408. I just keep my paperwork under the seat.

The '29 Wagons have a passenger door pocket? The '31 has a pocket in the drivers side cowl kick panel.

I use a small plastic pouch and magnet on the front side of the gas tank. It's hidden out of sight, so the common thief won't nab it.

I use a strong magnet on the bottom of the gas tank---it holds the papers and traps any metal that is sloshing around in the tank and traps it. I position it so I can get to the pile of rust from the top with a mech.s magnet on a stick to remove the mess.

I have them under the front seat placed in an envelope tucked into the seat springs at the bottom of the coils. They don't go anywhere and weather well.

The aforementioned Snyder's pouch in action:

I carry them in my wallet. I wouldn't want someone to drive off or trailer away my car and have any paperwork with it. That's how I carry mine.

Funny i notice a 5" diameter magnet on my late 31' tank... i figured to trap stuff... not i'll make use of it with a zippo bag and my papers...great idea...

I attached a Model A repro tool bag to the right side cowl panel in my 30 std. roadster. I put the papers inside and snap it shut.

Thanks everyone for all the information. I think I'll get the kick panel with the pocket made in it. For now I'll use a zip lock bag and magnet.

While it is important to keep the needed papers in the car, you do not want them were they can be seen and or taken. even the police say to keep them out of site. If you are out with your car and the thief can see your address, modern or vintage car, they know you are not home.

I use a clip on eyeglass holder. I clip it on the kick panel driver's side. It is far enough forward, that it is out of site and not in the way to move around and not kick it. It is also secure enough to hold several papers....and some emergency cash too.

Some of the hot rod guys use a clip on flashlight, the kind that clips to the steering column. Instead of batteries in the light they use it for storage of their papers.
