has anyone seen a pitman arm shaped like a letter "S"
I have one on a 1930 Coupe I just got and the steering
is great. do not know if these are sold or did someone make it.
Thanks Jack
Sounds like it was an arm that had the same spline but was longer so it was "adjusted" by heating and bending into the S shape. How does the C-C length compare to a stock pitman arm?
Heating/bending is not a problem if one heats and lets the item slow cool. No water quench, air cool only; some pack in sand and let part cool overnight. I have bent steering arms on spindles for dropped axles, never a problem with a slow cool.
