pistons

its me again about a pistons is there a set of pistons that
I should not buy like a brand that is not a good buy as i am going to put new rods and pistons rings of course and a lap or new valves and adjustable lifters. doing in the car so any advice will be accepted thanks barry

I sure would pull the engine for the work you are doing. In the end it would be easier and probaly less time involved to do the complete job. Messing with the cam and lifters in the car isn't as easy as on a stand.

I don't know of any problem brand of pistons.

Are you going to re bore the cylinders. If not why new pistons. You would have a better job if you ground the valves and seats. Lapping old valves is not the best. You want a narrow seat in the center of the valve.

with new pistons and/or rings, you should hone the cylinders with a rigid hone. pull the engine!
