piston was stuck and now free

I was able to free up a stuck piston on '30 truck. Short of pulling out the piston , how do you determine if rings are still frozen. It turns over well now and I have sprayed a good deal of blaster in there . John

Do a compression test - because you want to make sure you don't have anything worse (like BROKEN rings)

If you can borrow a cylinder leakdown test setup, you will learn a lot more.

The real only way to take the piston out and check each ring, sorry, other ways are good but not finial.

If the piston was stuck, you can be sure the rings are stuck also in the grooves. Pull it, clean it and then go from there.

Check for a ridge at top of cylinder before beating the piston out, and cut the ridge away if it exists or you will definitely have stuck rings. Good luck
