Pin hole leak near radiator cap

Noticed the other day a small pin hole leak near the radiator cap on the top of the tank. I cleaned off the black paint, found the spot and put some JB weld on the area, waited for a few days and then drove the car. Seemed to be ok but tonight noticed that its still leaking near the JB area. Should I remove that and try to put some solder/weld at the leak? Have a good friend who owns a radiator shop but wonder by putting the JB weld on have I made it harder to fix?

I wonder that if you have a "good friend that owns a radiator shop",Why would you ask this question on this forum? you should ask him.

The JB weld was not the best thing to do, I'm hoping this is a copper or brass radiator, run the car to warm the area to make the JB easier to remove, brush the jb weld out of there, after all of the other paint jb and other junk is out of there take a fresh clean brush or clean piece of plumber sand cloth, clean is key, use a bit of flux for copper and 50/50 solder or 50/50 rosin core solder, slowly work the spot up to temperature. Pay attention to the flux, play the surface, when the flux goes opaque slightly work a bit of it into the void. Temperature control is key avoid over heating, if the flux browns hard you're too hot.If the solder clumps you're a bit cool.
