Hey Walt Good eye ,,thats what you call a "freebie stick" from my dads stockpile of flathead parts ! . it was curved an sombody heated it up an straighted it . this is the same motor on my avitar ,100 hp merc motor w/29A heads. I got to catch up with you other 39 builders ! AHH but allas,, time an money ,,. A big thankyou goes out to my brother Charlie for his time and effort into this build so far . and allot of you fellow "barners', out there ,THANKYOU ! for your time an knowledge Mike Peterson

Although the cannister is different, that's the same way 8BA's are set up.

I also noted that the heater water shut off valve on the driverside of the block? Is the heater on driverside or center of inside cab firewall.

Its really an odd duck heater mounted right by the gas pedal ,,,to the left of the stick ,,,i,ll try to get a picture of it (an have my brother put it on !)its an old fire engine cab if that has anything to do with it ?

acually, the drivers side had open fitting in the head for the heater. i took it out and put on the shut-off type so i could fill with antifreeze to check the radiator. rad has tiny leak of course.
