anyone have a pic of what the number 1 should look like for 1930? searched and seen it look like a capital I. this confuses me. also, dont worry, im just restamping the numbers to make them readable.

I think an an old restorer mag had an article on what was period correct but I don't remember the exact publication date. Good luck

Judging standards has the samples for 28-29 and 30-31. Yes your "1" will look like an "I"....not sure when the change was made. #s 6 and 9 were also redesigned.

pg 542 of what service bulletins? is it online somewhere? im not restoring it to anyones judjing standards, just want this to be correct.

here!

does anybody know of a web site that will tell the month and day a car is made by the serial number

Pluck's site will tell you the month and day you motor was accepted and passed at the end of assembly. Your car could have been assembled any where up to 3 months after that date. To my knowledge that is no way to narrow it down any more that that. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.
