Photo Posting help?

When I attach a photo to a posting from a PC laptop, it is viewable to me on a PC, but not on my Mac.

Visa-versa, when I attach a photo from my Mac, it is viewable to me on the Mac, but not on the PC. :confused:

I would appreciate if someone with a MAC would let me know if the attached PC photo is viewable to them:

My google machine is a MacBook, and two two different pics show up on two seperate posts... very nice roadster. Off topic, once again, but look how great that car looks with the blackwalls.
 
Thanks for the feedback. But, now I'm confused as to why the first PC photo (with blonde in car), is not viewable by Pat with a PC? :confused:

Second photo (fall background) is from a MAC.
 
I can see the first photo with the blond, nice accessory by the way, on my PC.

I can not see a second photo of a fall background in the next post, on my PC.
 
Using Google Chrome and IE 8, I see the PC to my PC picture (post #1) fine. The photo (post #2) from the MAC can't be seen on my Windows XP PC. If I tweaked the URL found on the page source, I can see it.

I can see both images, and I have a Mac running 10.6.8 and Safari 5.0.5. If you can't see one or the other it may be a browser issue rather than a computer issue. I quit using IE a long time ago because it was so unstable, especially in a Mac environment. MS software is notoriously buggy. (Witness the current fiasco by Microsoft with the Ford MyTouch system).
 
Ok, I use IE 9 on the Windows Vista PC platform and Safari 5.1.3 on the MAC OS X 10.7.3 platform.

I do not have performance issues on either.

After Stinch's reply, I did notice that Fordbarn has the "www." in the URL on the PC, but it doesn't appear on the MAC URL. Apparently, this has something to do with the photo URL not appearing to some without the "www". as part of the address.

Here are both photos previously posted from the PC. Not sure if these will be viewable to those on the MAC:

When posting from the MAC in the future, I will try adding "www." to the URL to see if photos are viewable to those with either platform. :confused:

I checked both my HP laptop (I use for most casual stuff) and my big machine used for intensive stuff. I only tried it on Windows 7. On both computers whether Firefox or MSE I can only see the PC pic.

I looked at the page code and the only difference is shown below;

PC-

OK, the difference is the <br /> after the image URL which is the XML tag for 'line break". I believe PC browsers automatically insert the break tag before and after a <div> or </div> tag. However your PC post had text added after the pic so you have the first break tag you added via the enter key before the text (which I omitted above) then a second one added by the browser.

With that said, I believe I understand why we can't see the MAC version as there is no "break" between the picture URL and the </div> tag. However I'm surprised your MAC browser can't see the version that has the break tag.

Now, I wonder what would happen if you edited your MAC post and manually added a line break tag by hitting the enter key AFTER the pic as if you were going to type a sentence below the pic with a line space. I would think we could then see it on our PCs.
 
How nice the car looks with blackwalls...as factory done.....This whitewall thing is overdone, especially done with lite colored wheels....
 
Hoarse, I mostly use a PC and have wanted to see your photos many times and think I may have asked you to repost some long ago because I thought you accidentally left them out. Hope it gets straightened out.

Subtleties. Speaking of those, your handle is my favoritest after that of "Modeleh" who also posts here I think.
 
Ok, let's see if this will work.

I'm posting two photos of the same image from the MAC.

Photo #1 is with the line break after the image as Marco suggested:

PS: I just notice that #2 is not visible to me on a MAC with the "www." added.

Again, are both images visible to you on a PC and a MAC?

PC running chrome.

Nothing from the Mac shows up for me except the one where you manually added www in the post above.
