Petty Annoyance:

I used to work for an aftermarket auto parts company (not Model A related). They made an annual profit of $100,000 from shipping. That's after they paid for the shipping, boxes, material, and labor.

Indeed, this is happening way too often. It is happening so often it is becoming nauseating and annoying. Phoning is very different than email.

We agree totally & if someone doesn't like us, just kindly P.M. for our Complaint Dept. Phone Number! If you get a "WOOF" just leave your number & I'll call back. (I'm the only one that can understand the Dog's:cool: LINGO!)

a lot of people do not like to pay shipping... any thing you purchase be it at sears store or walgreens, lowes, etc, the shipping is figured in the price even tho you do not see it listed by itself.... shipping is always figured to eventually be paid by the customer.....the store cannot by not figuring the shipping....tnx, big john....
 
I can't speak about the shipping cost issue, but I recently e-mailed Snyder's about an item I'm considering buying and received a very prompt response with all of the information I needed.

I buy more than my fair share of small parts from Speedway and from time to time, the shipping cost exceeds the product cost! Speedway, along with other vendors, won't use USPS as the tracking is hit and miss. What we can do as individuals is a whole lot different than what companies have to do in the course of a day. FYI, Speedway in Lincoln NB actually ships more stuff via UPS than Cabelas in Sidney NB on a daily basis!
 
You want to try to build a Model A in St Thomas, VI and see what the shipping cost is, not to mention the time to recieve the part. Try to build a complete car with parts shipped from the states, frame, body, fenders, ect. I feel for you. Iceman
