Here is one I came up with for my 36 woodie: 2THPIX
However in Texas at $195 for one year and $495 for 5 years I gave up.
 
I don't have any better ideas but some advice. If a non car person can't work out the words it is kinda too clever 19fordy, for example, people can get... Some of the other ones a car guy stumbles with.

as stated above if ya find a decent set of same year plates YOM plates that is the most tasteful option
 
I have "vanity" plates on all of our vintage vehicles (I'm also in Florida). Here's a suggestion, how about 4D DLUX...?

My 40 2dr sedan is black with prestige plate "BLK MAGC" black magic with a pinup type portrait of Pam Anderson in a witches hat, stockings and garter belt, high heels surrounded by "BLACK MAGIC" on the deck lid. Another option for a 1940 plate is to search ebay. I am trying to collect a 1940 plate from each state. I usually buy for less than $25, but some 1940 plates can go for alot of money depending on condition.
