Does anyone know if a place like Napa or O'Reillys sells a pencil filter to fit the fuel shut off? Not sure if pencil filter is the correct name but it's a screen that presses into the fuel shut off valve so rust or sediment can't get into the fuel line.
The problem is the junk settles into the valve when you stop clogging it. If you flush the tank some then put a piece of tubing in then the junk will settle around the tube. While driving the junk will slowly go through the system and caught by original filter screens. Eventually you do away with the tubing so you go further on a tank when you notice the screen catching less material.
The "pencil" filter prevents flakes from getting into the shut off valve, which has a SMALL passageway that makes a sharp 90 degree bend & clogs up EASILY! Bill W.
