Pedal springs - need help !!

After a few years my 46 pick-up is nearly back on the road !! I cannot see or remember how the brake and clutch pedal retracting springs are installed / or connect. This is a right hand drive model but left hand should be the same??
 
I guess the cars are the same. What I did was a spring about 5" long,made a piece of steel and bent the end to bolt to trans bell housing for the brake. drill 2 holes.
And for the clutch had a spring about 4" ,piece of steel and bent it in the shape
3" long ,down about 2" and back 1" flat of top to drill hole in frame. Mine were lost also. Not correct but works.
