PCV valves

I have searched and read everything that I can find on PCV valves adapted to a Flathead motor. Would you guys list the make and part numbers for pcv valves that are in use??...........I would appreciate it. I have a 1934 21 stud motor....................tp

The way I did it was to figure out a valve that came in a engine the same size, 240 c.i. truck, 250 c.i. car engine- that has 1/4 pipe on the vacuum side... I you pm me, i will look through my notes to see what I wound up with... I am busy for 3-4 days, so figure that as a responce time... Karl

Go to the top of this page. Click search. Enter "flathead filters". Then see what happens. 8^)

Also, FYI, some of us don't rely on a PCV valve to manifold vacuum for PCV. We're instead using a large diameter baffled tube/tubing directly to air cleaner suction. This low vacuum type of PCV is similar to an active ventilation system also used in older Chryslers with a line running from a baffled oil filler cap to the air cleaner cannister. It has the advantage of working best under WOT when blowby is highest. PCV valves work best at idle/low throttle when manifold vacuum is highest, blowby lowest.

Thanks Jack,

I understand and will do both a pcv and either a road tube of vent to the air cleaner. If the ring seal is really bad then it might need a road tube...............tp
