Paybacks are a B_tch…

Re: Paybacks are a B_tch…

That's not fair! His daughter is a girl, remember? No amount of instruction could have prepared her for that peculiar turn of events. She well may have thought the noise she heard was caused by lumps in the gasoline. :D

My wife changed a tire on the Cline Avenue overpass in the winter when she was in her early twenties. I was dating her at the time. We did not have cell phones then.

Re: Paybacks are a B_tch…

as much as it hurts, this is your fault for not teaching her about cars in general and their upkeep--yeah I know Daddy's little girl. We have two sons-so what do I know. Very glad everything came out alright and everyone is safe.. But to add something serious. I like the idea of the plywood-going to do that today for our cars.

I DID teach her about cars, her problem was that with the weather, and being on a two lane road with no shoulder, she was trying to get to an area where there was a parking lot. She stopped a 1/4 mile form there.

She DOES have triple A but she was 15 minutes from me and AAA takes at least an hour in our area….and you don't leave a 19 year old girl on the side of the road on a Friday night.

Re: Paybacks are a B_tch…

Oh, by the way, she went to an all girl high-school and Senior year had a GYM homework assignment to change the tire on the car. She was driving my pickup at the time, so that is what she changed. Knowing how, and wanting to do it on a dark cold night are two different things.

They are fun though. I still remember when she called me to say the horse shoe light was on on the dash. Took me a while to realize it was the low tire. She was told to stop the car, get out and look at her tires. Her issue this time was the stupid light had been going off a lot for no reason, so she ignored it.

My oldest Daughter changes Her own Belts, Hoses alternators and Tune ups and Has to help Her Husband fix everything.

Re: Paybacks are a B_tch…

My daughter came home one afternoon and told me the car is hard to turn and makes some noise. I went out and found the front tires pointing about 45 degrees apart. Nice!
My younger daughter, who became an engineer was often found out in the driveway wrenching on her car. She would at least fix what she broke.

Re: Paybacks are a B_tch…

Not that I am he best example, but I did teach both kids how to change a tire on the car as a part of their driving instruction. I taught both to drive a manual transmission, to, which both still drive in their personal cars.

As another poster said, get her a AAA membership, cheap insurance.
