Passenger frint door door latch

On my Town Sedan the spring broke on the passenger door and I replaced the spring and the outside and handle is very stiff and the inside handle will barely open the car door!
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Look for binding. Something is out of alignment.

Reproduction parts. Double check the installation and size of the spring.

All moving parts need to be lubricated. Have you removed the latch mechanism and greased all hte moving parts? My 29 Tudor really works nice now that it has grease on all the parts that move. BTW, I removed it to replace some broken springs also.

I greased it up real well and it is fine now.
