Is there a place to get internal parts for a generator ? Just had mine checked out, and was told that the armachure was bent. Now where is a good place to find this internal part ?

Figure out why it was bent first. Could be that the belt was too tight, pulley was not on straight, or the bearing/s were poor (early bearings were not sealed: after 80 yrs or so their tracks loosen).

Like so many Model A parts, they can cost either a few or a lot of bucks, depending on whether you need them soon or not. Bending an armature is not nearly as easy on a generator for lack of leverage as compared to starters which often bend as part of a Bendix failure. Tossing them in a pile would be a very likely cause. Had a heap of starters and generators at a series of California swaps at $5 ea. They were out of an estate and many were fresh rebuilds. The sharpies pulled out the freshest ones and the rest just sat there for years with no sales. One of my friends cut out the copper and scrapped them for more than I was asking. When you don't need them they're just junk. I like the hot rod meets because stuff with some value is just left on the ground. Luckily my friend harvests the scrap. Probably a whole generator would be a more economical find to solve the problem. Someone that takes the time to pull the parts will likely want a lot more for his trouble. Never in 50+ years of Models A Have I seen cheaper used parts than lately. Can't just sit on your porch and find anything. Need to get out there. Good luck: Fred A

Snyders for a fact does not sell armatures, ot sure about macs or brattos but most likely the same

Bratton's (page 65) $75, brand new. PV Antique and Classic Ford (pvford.com) (page 12) $85. Think Mac's has them also. Some place in N.E. area started making them last year.

Mike's "A" Ford-Able Parts in Maysville, GA is fairly close to you and shows genreator armatures for $99.00 ea. You can look at their catalog on line at www.mikes-afordable.com or call them toll free @ 888-879-6453. Good folks and will be glad to assist you with good technical support.
Good luck!

I have several generators I tried to sell on ebay a couple of years ago that didn't. I would take 40$ for one complete except for the pulley. None are powerhouse.
