I'm looking for a source for a glove compartment door lock for my 56 Merc. Any help would most highly appreciated.

Looks like the '57 Ford lock and latch, but the actual button face on the '57 Ford is smaller than the '56 Merc. But you could probably get a '57 setup to work if you could make a larger escutcheon on the outside with the inner hole small enough to fit the Ford button.
