parts for tillotson

The original post says "round bowl" Tillotson which I believe is the Model F1-B. The kits for the Model X and Model XF with rectangular bowl do not fit the round bowl Tillotson. I could use a kit for the early Model with round bowl also.

Somehow I missed it and figured it was the common model X . The Tillotsom model F1-B is more like the Zenith . My thought and practice is that the jets don't wear out . I mostly replace gaskets and the float valve assembly . The Zenith bowl gasket can be used on the Tillotson F1-B . I'm not sure if the Zenith float valve will interchange . Tooth paste is a good compound to use if refitting and cleaning up the old needle and seat . The Tillotson F1-B carburetor has been said to have small jets and passages and can be difficult to clean . Good luck with the carb . I'm not sure but Renners may have parts for the Tillotson F1-B carburetor .

Do not know just where to get parts for your F1-B, but maybe some of these articles in Model A News (MAN), The Restorer (TR) or Model A Times (MAT) will help you out.

This has been asked before. Smith&Jones Model A Supply has a gasket set for this carb. Be sure the two halves of the carb body are flat where they meet so you get a good seal. These Zinc carbs are notorious for being warped. I think some Zenith parts will interchange but not the gaskets.
