Happy 4th. Just dropped my wife at the airport and need to stick close to home watching my 100 year old Mother in Law who only speaks Vietnamese. Engine is 90% reassembled. Took a year plus off for rotator cuff reattachment and rehab. Feels good. Been picking up where I left off and clearing cobwebs out of my brain. I have some anxiety about forgetting something and want to be sure before buttoning up the oil pan. When I got the car, the engine was installed but 1 head and the intake had been removed. I had a box of parts and I labeled and took photos of every nut and bolt I removed. Here are a couple pats that were in the box so I don't know where they came from. Please help identify. Thanks. The small bracket has two photos

My guess was also spark plug wire looms
The small one is thin sheet metal and I have the distributor hold down. It’s heavy and thick cast.

Some use the single stalk with the 4 holes on the top end that supports the high tension leads. There is one of those on each side. With the body change for the EAB in 1952, there were a fair amount of new things in the change. I was looking at photos in this link and not seeing anything that matches those supports on the manifold but it is an overdrive car.

If the parts all support one item with a 3-legged support then see if the large bolt holes match any bolts on the manifold. What ever they support would have to be in your stash as well. If the car is automatic trans equipped then check the bellcrank for the transmission control rod. It may use something of that nature but I'm not familiar enough with the 1952/53 V8 Ford-O-Matic applications to be sure. Maybe someone else will know.

PS: I was looking through the illustrations in the parts book and saw two supports, like the long ones in photos above, in front of the radiator core support with P/N BA 16898-A and they support the Hood Lock support panel rear edge on right and left sides. I couldn't see anything that looks like the small part but there may be relation in that assembly. There is another bolt in the middle of that panel.

The two long brackets are part # BA-16898-A
Brace (Hood Lock Support to Radiator Support)

I'm thinking Bracket (Transmission Overdrive Manual Control Handle & Cable)- on Instrument Panel Part #AB-77250-AP....but not sure.

The small pressed steel part looks like the same as on some 460 engines (and others) I have taken apart. Its Ford Blue, painted with the engine. It is bolted to a valve cover bolt and is used for a wire loom support. It would of had one of those plastic tree things pushed in it to hold the wire loom.

Good call on the # BA-16898-A Brace (Hood Lock Support to Radiator Support). My car is missing them.

The other small bracket is painted blue.

Where can I find these:

single stalk with the 4 holes on the top end that supports the high tension leads
bracket 12111 grommet 12297 per parts book. can't find any for sale?

Greetings, as mentioned above, the two brackets in the first photo are radiator to hood latch braces. See the attached images from my 52. Since the other bracket is still in question, can you take another photo with the part on its side next to a ruler so we can see some scale? Thanks, JPL

Thanks, Pete. My wire looms are 1 pc with the rubberized coating like Tubman shows in the following threads.
I figured if those small brackets are engine parts you old geezers would recognize them and say so. However, since it's a unique new body with few old parts I looked along the engine compartment fender lines and as much as I could under the dash(I just had a pacemaker installed and I'm not supposed to do "stuff". It's frustrating! It's INSIDE the heart & it has to heal, and I feel great, and... I'm on the grass, not under it, so I gotta behave).
I did not look in the trunk. Also, I'm missing most of my heater parts, so there could be small brackets around the motor and ducting
Good luck, JPL
