Parking brake handle plating questions.

I will be having my parking brake handle re-plated by a shop near me in Omaha and have a couple of questions.
Where does the dividing line between the upper chrome finish and the lower butler finish lay?
Does the grain of the butler finish go around the lever, not lengthwise?

Hey Dave. The grain on both NOS Handles I have owned was lengthwise but I have seen the grain perpendicular to the shaft on Shifter Levers and Hand Brake Levers, and it passed without deduction. My thoughts are it would have been easier to do on a Sisel Wheel buffing coplanar with the Lever.

On the Hand Brake, the polished area was where your hand wrapped around the Lever at the top, and the graining came up to just under the lower ring in the Handle.
