What are the best type of replacement core plugs [the brass cupped ones ]or the slightly concave ones. What size are they. Any sealer needed on either type?? 36 LB engine.Where is the front oil plug that is sometimes left out is it under the front timming cover and is it accessible if the front cover is removed.I had a leak at the front of the engine when it was running last. ken ct/ Maybe it was left out. Might as well take care of that at the time the motor is out.

use the brass concave ones use peratex sealer.if the plug was left out your oil pressure would of told you.it would be very low or even none

Thanks rich,not the brass ones with a lip on them but concave brass ones.Which permatex hardening or non hardening. Always had some OP but kind of low at hot idle like 4-6 lbs. but high when cold 40-60 lbs. thanks again. ken ct.
