PS At least I don't have to worry about moisture, its been -10 to -25 for wks and the air is dryer than a popcorn fart.

Check with your paint jobber and ask for application guides for the products you plan to use. Glasing putty is usually a lacquer based product and will shrink if applied very thick or not letting it dry long enough.

In my recent paint jobs I skipped the "glazing putty" because it is basically bondo now. After epoxy primer I used bondo and high build primer. The high build goes on thick and I didn't need "glazing putty" like in the old days. I didn't use etching primer, just epoxy, high glaze and top coat.

The only time I ever heard the expression drier than a popcorn fart was on a recent trip to Alaska. Then I noticed your location. Your post let me relive the trip in my mind. Thank you.
